Wellington dwelling

I still don't have my visa, but the immigration agency that I've hired has assured me there is nothing to worry about and that it's expected in the begging of next week. New Zealand immigration has confirmed that they have what they need and are happy to issue a visa, so it will work itself out.

I've gone ahead and booked a hotel in Wellington (Halswell Lodge, 21 Kent Terrace, Courtenay Place) for Wednesday-Sunday (4-8 November) with the intention to move to a hotel in Petone (Lower Hutt) closer to work on Sunday, at which time I'll return the car as well. That should work well I think.

My leaving do is tomorrow and my work leaving drinks on Thursday next week - it's all getting very definite now!
