X-mas cookies sampling

I think I encnountered yet another slightly odd things today at the office. A woman came in with a huge bucket with mini-cookies.

It turns out that it was sample cookies so that people could make up their mind as to what cookies they wanted to buy for Christmas.

I know we have similar things in Sweden and the UK, but this seemed to be quite a specific tradition taht at least intrigued me.

The people in the picture is my colleague Emma and the brilliant Christmas-cooke-sample-lady that came into our office.
